Wood's End Landing · Bamfield, BC
The Adult Summer Camp™
3 days, 2 nights on the
Edge of the World.
Wood's End Landing is a small, family run waterfront retreat tucked into the west side of Bamfield, on the wild outer coast of Vancouver Island. It is only reachable by boat, and that is exactly the point.
We have taken over the entire property for The Adult Summer Camp™. Cedar cabins, a working dock, kayaks at the water, old growth a few steps from your door, and the open Pacific just beyond the breakwater.
You drive in, we take it from there.
Getting There
Drive to East Bamfield. We take care of the rest.
Your ticket includes a return water taxi across the Bamfield Inlet, so you never have to drive the long way around to the west side.
Step 1
Drive to East Bamfield
Aim for the public dock at East Bamfield. Free parking on site. Roughly 4.5 hours from Victoria or 2 hours from Port Alberni on the Bamfield Main logging road. Detailed driving directions go out by email after you book.
Step 2
Hop on the included water taxi
Your ticket already covers the return water taxi across the inlet. We meet you at the East Bamfield dock at a set time, load your bags, and shuttle you across. Five minute crossing.
Step 3
Arrive at Wood's End Landing
Step off the dock straight into camp. Check into your cabin, grab a coffee, and meet the group. Camp officially begins at the welcome fire that evening.

The Experience
3 days, 2 nights at the edge of the Pacific.
Wood's End Landing sleeps a small group in cedar cabins right on the water. Days are built around kayaking, walks through old growth, workshops, slow meals, and free time on the dock.
Phones away during the day. No agenda you have to keep up with. Just ocean, food, fire and a small group of adults remembering how to be humans again.
The Cabins
Shared cedar cabins, scattered across the property.
Sleeping is shared and split into boys' cabins and girls' cabins, with anywhere from 4 to 6 people per cabin. Semi private, so you still get your own bunk and quiet corners, but you're sharing walls with a small crew, the way summer camp is supposed to be.
Every cabin is fully stocked with its own kitchen, and meals are delivered straight to your cabin. No mess hall lineups, no cooking unless you want to.
